Podcast #13 is served! This one's long, as it gets into listener feedback in a big way, handling all of the major questions and comments submitted since the last time I read a few letters on the air several 'casts ago. We also get a visit from actual listeners who've subscribed to the podcast and then came on out to Korea. Much to your surprise, find out about Korea's relationship to most of the animation you see on American and even Japanese TV. Subscribe directly in iTunes or listen directly from the web.
Here are some links mentioned in the podcast:
The film I talked about as being my favorite Korean film is definitely Flander's Dog, which is what the Korean title for this film is, for which I have heard various English translations, such as Barking Dogs Never Bite and A Higher Animal (which is actually the English title offered in the film itself). Here's the IMDB link.
The Cartoon Museum at the Seoul Animation Center. Erin said this place was top-notch, so get on over there.
Here's website as well as the iTunes link to the podcast of Ninja Consultant, a 'cast about anime and fan culture – with "special attention" being paid to ninjas! Their rapport is great and their banter funny – you a fan of anything, of any type? Their energy is infectious!
