Now, that was a pleasant surprise. I noticed that my hit logs had jumped into the several-hundred range by the middle of the night, instead of the 300-500 I usually get by the very, very end of the tracking day (4PM Seoul time). So are we gonna break the 2000 mark by the end of the day? Here's hoping we do!
Of course, it was related to the "Gates of the Minjok" post that has caused such controversy, but a controversy that in the end I thought to be a good one. In the end, opening such dialogue is a good thing, I think; that's my story and what I believe, so I'm sticking to it.
Hitler-theme bars in Korea came up actually because of the uproar that similar bars have been causing in India. Am I going to call India "fascist?" Or talk about elements of "fascism" in Indian society or history? Nope! Not that I don't want to get all burnt and crispy in the flame wars that would ensue (he said facetiously), but I don't know much about India in a specialized sense, and haven't lived there. I haven't even been there.
So my name is Bennett and I ain't innit. If you wanna go flame warring on a site for starting up the controversy, go get this guy and leave me out of it. I'm just enjoying getting back to my photography and light blogging. I'm gonna steal his image, though, since I need an image for this post.
All I have to say is that if you need a security guard to stay in business and the Israeli embassy is pissed at you – I think you need to find a different theme for your restaurant.
