You know you're old when you become the prime target demographic for just about everything in the popular culture and people are doing "retro" celebrations of every extant trend from when you were in puberty.
But here's one I didn't expect, and I just got wind of. Am I late? First, let me ask if you remember this:
Oh ho! You do, do you? Then how about this?
Yeah! Holy crap, right? I know I may getting on the bandwagon late, but – damn! Michael Bay doing The Transformers as a live-action movie, to be released on July 4th? Yeah, baby! I wish crap like Pearl Harbor hadn't been made, but blockbuster bucks spent on watching Optimus Prime and Megatron duke it out on screen? YEAH!!!!!!!!
Don't believe this can be a live-action movie? Well, I also didn't think you could ever pull off real dinosaurs back in 1994, either.
This all looks like it's gonna be hella sweet.
"The Transformers! More than meets the eye!" Begin practicing making the "transform" sound with your mouth again. Just don't get caught actually playing with any action figures while doing it. Hehe. You know you want to, right?
So in celebration of our metallic friends' return, let's try to be a little nicer to the machines, shall we?
Have a good one.
