OK, not quite yet, since this little guy won't be coming out in Korea until March, as I mentioned in a previous post. But I'll say now that if you all are up for a Wii bit of fun (these puns are gonna keep on coming, so I'll just warn ya now), I'll have a party when this comes out. And I plan to have as much fun as these folks.
Nintendo seems to have discovered that it's weirdly fun to simply watch people playing the Wii, as it puts these little Wii vids on its site. Seriously – if it's this much fun to watch people playing the game, how much fun will it be to actually play?
And just on about the coolest note you can think of, the Wii has become not only the best-selling console since its recent release, but you can save power and add atmosphere, as some geeky geniuses have discovered, by replacing the Wii "sensor bar" that emits a constant IR signal in a field that the remote uses, with two candles. Users say that it actually works better than the little bar itself.
Now, we've got geeks across the world running down to the nearest Bed, Bath, and Beyond for big, long-burning candles. The Wii is indeed making the world a warmer, fuzzier place. For geeky kids in their dorm rooms across America, a definite improvement to the romance repertoire. Perhaps someone will find a way to integrate scented love oils into gameplay?
Umm. Let's not think about that one.
