Wouldn't it be funny if the recent protests lead to just what they apparently (in terms of the message that was sent, as opposed to whatever one argues was meant) wanted. Yes -- let's renegotiate the FTA...with terms that benefit the American side more fairly. Korea's "beef" was beef, so perhaps the American auto industry would be interested in lowering the tariffs that basically keep American cars out of the Korean market by basically doubling their price in Korea while cheap Korean cars continue to rip American auto manufacturers a new one in an open and level auto market.
With the new administration coming, perhaps the protesters will get more than even they bargained for.
