Must be McCrack. Or maybe it's just lemonade?
This was all a "ponzi scheme" that he knew about...but he still opposed deregulation? Err...what? Or he just didn't know about it, and was just as clueless as the rest of us, then.
In case you missed it:
Erm...how you gonna say you were X on multiple occasions, then say you weren't, and were always opposed to it -- in fact, WARNED us about the dangers of X? Doesn't McCain know about the Internet? YouTube? About...
Oh, that's right. He doesn't. My bad.
Doh!
Oh, it keeps coming. Compare Obama's talking about a "regulatory framework" while John McCain was still talking about how the fundamentals of the economy were strong and characterizing fretting over it as a bunch of whiny handwringing.
Someone asked why I am "drinking the Kool-Aid" when it comes to the Democrats.
Wait -- when people at the Republican convention and in that party are talking "Drill, baby, drill!" even as every scientist and policy adviser worth their salt is talking about the certainty of global warming and the fact that our dependency on foreign oil is NOT going to be solved by increased drilling, and more fear-mongering over 9/11, and then actually get PWNED by the fact -- RIGHT IN AMERICA'S FACE -- that irresponsible Republican policies over the last 8 years that McCain has made a core part of his POLITICAL IDENTITY have obviously helped lead to the financial-train wreck-in-slow-motion that the US is presently experiencing...
Some Republican is going to characterize my support of the Democrats and Obama as "drinking the Kool-Aid?" The Republicans have a candidate lying through his teeth, a VP pick who lies about her foreign policy experience multiple times and thinks that being closer to Russia gives her said foreign policy experience, and then doesn't even know what the Bush Doctrine IS in an interview -- these are the people who are qualified to lead the country?
Who's drinking the Kool-Aid here? What would it TAKE for certain died-in-the-wool Republicans to abandon McCain and their party? Seriously, I think if he were caught on tape snorting coke off the breastplates of underage Hollywood hookers, Republicans would view it as a sign that McCain still "had his youth and vigor."
"If the world gives you lemons, make lemonade," right?
And then go on about Obama's not wearing some tie pin, flashing 9/11 footage on our screens again, or talking about him being Muslim.
This is going to save our country?
Give me the Kool-Aid any day.
