Well, you've stumbled across the right site. Learn from a seasoned, bilingual, and published foreign photographer with experience teaching and publishing in Korea. Working out of his real home studio in Seoul, Michael Hurt's work has appeared in The Korea Herald, Lufthansa, and CNN. He has been teaching photo for 4 years now and continues to try and improve the their quality for everyone.
And remember, you might see other "photo classes in English" ads out there advertising ridiculously low prices, but -- you always get what you pay for. Our studio is fully equipped, and you will learn the basic operations of your camera, as well as apply your knowledge outdoors, in the studio with a model, and in other challenging situations. You WILL leave the basic course understanding your camera and able to take much better pictures.
Most popular is the Basic Photo I class, where you learn how to operate your camera and the basics of proper exposure over a 4-week period, 3 hours per session. Each class costs 175,000 won, with the Basic Photo I class being offered 11-2 on Saturdays OR on a weekday to be determined, if demand allows.
Session 1 -- Photo theory. What do all the buttons on my camera mean? What is aperture/shutter? All the basics things you need to know to understand your camera.
Session 2 -- Outdoor shoot to Hongdae, really getting an understanding of exposure, fill flash, other basics of photography as applied to real life. What you didn't "get" last week, you'll certainly be be understanding more today!
Session 3 -- Studio shooting w/ a model! Really locks in understanding of aperture/shutter/exposure. One of the most fun and informative chunks of learning you'll ever digest.
